Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for:

Simpson County Jail – Trustee Expansion

will be received at the Offices of the Simpson County Board of Supervisors, 111 West Pine Avenue, Suite 2; Mendenhall, Mississippi 39114 at 9:00 am local time, on September 15, 2022, at which time they will be publicly opened and read. All documents will be issued electronically. No hard copies will be issued.

Plan holders are required to register and order digital bid documents at www.cdflplanroom.com. A
$150.00 non-refundable deposit shall be required on each set of bid documents and must be purchased through the website. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration.

A prebid conference will be held at 9:00 am local time, on August 23, 2022, at 120 Cemetery Street, Mendenhall, Mississippi.

Bid preparation will be in accordance with Instructions to Bidders bound in the project manual. Simpson County reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids submitted.

Bids must be submitted on the form to be furnished by the architect and must be accompanied by bid bond or certified check for at least five percent (5%) of the base bid payable to Simpson County.

Bid envelope must contain on the outside of the envelope, the Contractor’s current Certificate of Responsibility Number and the Contractor’s License Number unless a statement on the exterior says that the bid enclosed is less than or did not exceed $50,000.00. Envelope containing bids must be sealed, marked and addressed as follows:
